The Black and Gold 1975
The 1974-1975 Varsity Basketball team went through another year of defeats and frustrations. But whatever lingered in each individual's mind on the team, the cagers' spirit to bring pride to the McKinleyites was there intact. They played their best in attitude. Their minds and hearts were there to win, but youthfulness and lack of experience hindered their dreams for the OIA.
A new coaching staff came with a whole new team (only one was a returnee from last year). The Tigers practices zealously, polishing up an inexperienced team.
The tiger season was a dismal one with a record of no wins. A close opening loss to Kalani darkened the cagers' spirit to fall hard against Castle by a large margin. Throughout the season it was a repetition of the same story.
The student body supported the team optimistically overlooking their faults throughout the season. Experience gained through the campaign should prove invaluable to them next year.
