Reaccreditation

The Black and Gold 1977

MHS gears up for reaccreditation

To provide McKinley's students with an insurance of acceptance into better colleges, a major concern of the administration and faculty this year was reaccreditation and rating from representatives of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in March.

The WASC had the responsibility of rating an intensive nine months study of the school's programs made by administration and faculty on a scale of 1 to 5. This investigation covered the competency of the faculty, course goals, and objectives. During the last accreditation, McKinley received the maximum rating of five years.

Overall chairman for McKinley's Accreditation Committee was Vice Principal Mr. L.F. Leu.
