MTA socials foster fellowship, fun
Responsible for socials and teacher hospitality, the McKinley Teacher Association had 90 per cent membership this year.
The first social gathering was a kick-off dinner at Yong Sing Restaurant. Some 80 people dined on a seven-course dinner followed by contests and drawings.
November's faculty fun nite found teachers and their families engaged in an informal pot luck dinner followed by a turkey dart board, coconut turkey plucking, and other games which added for prizes.
Besides events honoring the retiring principal, the association sponsored the traditional May Luau.
