Juniors - Class of '77 Execs

The Black and Gold 1976

Six Execs Strive for Class Unity

Striving to promote class unity and spirit, the juniors, led by six officers, planned an impressive line of activities.

The year began with the football season which proved to be both satisfying and disappointing. For the homecoming tapestry accomplished to capture second place for the junior entree, "Hail, McKinley, Hail." This was quite a comeback from the previous year's fourth place float.

However, a few weeks later, the Class of '77 just could not raise the extra spark to lead the Tiger Machine into victory as they bowed to Farrington in their class game.

Throughout the year, many juniors also eagerly participated in school-wide contests such as soup labels, bread bags and a bed race.

After much hard work preparing, the Class Day on April 23 included a successful class play which was performed for the student body, a class Pinion and a surprise movie in the auditorium. The enchanting April 30 Junior Promenade, "All of My Life," was held at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel.

The preparation and achievement strengthened the junior's outlook on becoming September's seniors.
