The Black and Gold 1975
Rriinnnnnnggg--the noon bell dismissed a crowd of hungry sophomores to be caught in the lunchtime traffic.
Some hurried to meet their friends and rushed off campus to spend their 42 minute break for lunch at McDonald's, King St. Pharmacy, Zippy's, or the popular "Sweet Shop."
Other diligent sophs headed for the library to complete their homework assignments, work on projects, or to further pursue their scholarly interests.
Favorite hangouts for the Class of '77 included the band room, the parking lot, Sophomore Court, Mr. Maeda's room, or classes in which teachers permitted them to study or eat lunches they brought from home.
After a satisfying lunch, clusters of sophomores could be seen relaxing or socializing on the front lawn until the ringing of the bell announcing the end of lunch, sent them dashing off to their respective classes.
